We operate under the names of; Vision Communication, Vision Signing Choir and Junior Vision Signing Choir. All references to any of these names within this policy applies to all operating names.

Membership and administration purposes – We store your membership sign-up information as part of our approach to adequate record retention. This enables us to keep track of your membership and any details which notify us of any special needs and/or requirements.
Delivering marketing and events communication – We may from time-to-time communicate with you via email, telephone, SMS and messaging applications to inform you of relevant event dates and information. The communications are subject specific to Vision Communication, and usually relate to course information, exam information and fund-raising event information.
Providing goods and services – Where you make purchases through our website, we may collect the information provided during the transaction for legal, accounting and sales analytics purposes. This information does not include your card/payment information. We do not store your card or payment information from any transaction, be it via the website or other means.
We may use personal information to tailor courses and our teaching methods to your desired and/or specified needs where appropriate.
Internal research and development purposes - We use your information to monitor and track your progress within our classes to allow us to provide you with appropriate guidance and British Sign Language tutoring. When do we share personal data?
We treat all personal data with confidentiality and where required, we may share the information you provide to us with third parties where it is necessary for us to disclose this information as part of your British Sign Language qualifications and training. Your data may be shared with other third parties whose involvement with Vision Communication, Junior Vision Signing Choir or Vision Signing Choir is necessary for us to conduct our courses under the appropriate training bodies.

We retain personal data for the period you are a member of either Vision Communication, Junior Vision Signing Choir and/or Vision Signing Choir. Where you have submitted information to us, for example; by using contact forms on our website, or where you have exited membership with us, we may keep your information for up to six months from the date we either receive your details initially, or from the date you exit your association with us, unless you request that your data be deleted in line with your right to erasure.
The data which is no longer kept under lawful means is disposed of through digital deletion and secure destruction of physical copies.
